Essential Oils Class.....

Just a reminder that the oils class is this Thursday at 11:30. I know many of you cannot make it at that time and want more info. I will probably have one more in the evening later on if you can let me know who is interested. Also, you can always click on the forever green link to the right and look at the essential oils category. You can order straight from there. I will be blogging about specific oils weekly so you can get more information about what oils you may want or need to keep on hand. You can also place an order directly from me if you live close so I can make a group order and save everyone shipping cost. I will be placing an order right after my class for those interested. Email me or comment on what oils you are interested in. For starters, I think everyone should have lemon, peppermint, orange, Defense, Guardian and Spice of Life. I will let you all know why in the upcoming weeks. Today, I'll start you off with my favorite:

Spice of Life

This blend of spices is nothing new to the world. These spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and pepper, to name a few have been used for centuries. History also reveals that during the black plague, cities that were rich in trade of many of these spices using them as perfumes and medicines were virtually spared of the disease. Why? These spices and herbs have powerful disease-fighting properties. They stimulate the immune system and have anti-microbial properties that equal or are better than modern day antiseptic and antibiotic drugs.

This blend is helpful for such things as:
colds flu fevers coughs sinusitis sore throat bronchitis viral infections
immune stimulant minor infections Epstein Barr bacterial infections
clears airborne bacteria respiratory infections swollen glands

My personal experience? My daughters friends were coming down with strep, she came home with a sore throat . I put a drop on the back of her hand and had her lick it. The sore throat was gone in the morning. My son had a fever one night. I did the same "lick-trick" and he woke up without a symptom. Now, when I hear of my kids being around another sicky or they feel something coming on, they get a drop or two. You can also put this on a little piece of apple to get it down them. It tastes like cinnamon. It works. I swear by it. This is nothing new, they have used it for centuries. We Americans prefer to spend hundreds of dollars going to the Dr. and subjecting our children to harmful drugs. My children never miss school. If they get a bug, it is gone in less than an evening. I don't even remember when the last time was one had to stay home from school other than the little guy. I also don't remember the last time any of them saw a Doctor for an illness. It has been years, we're talking 3-5 years! Check it out! Remember, each little vial has about 300 drops in it so it will last for quite a while.

Yes I would like to order one of these... but I could not find 'spice of life' on the forever green site. I believe I live pretty close to you, I am on Power and Pecos and will NOT be able to attend the class. Can I just order one through you? Also, my husband has pneumonia, I went to HiHealth and bought some lavender oil to rub on his chest... we heard that it would help from a friend. Any other oils that you know will help him? Thanks, Deena

Deena,

I will check on the Spice of Life for you. For now since I can't get the oils tonight for you, you can purchase some oregano oil and peppermint oil at a health food store. Just try to get them as pure as possible. Make a peppermint tea with warm water, 2 drops oil and honey. Also, oregano oil inhaled as much as possible. In addition, mix one drop oregano oil with one drop peppermint oil in some olive oil, grapeseed oil or coconut oil. rub onto chest, back and spine.

I would be interested in getting some of the 'spice of life'...can you tell me how much it is? I cannot find it on the forever green site, either. I also live in Gilbert. I won't be able to attend your class tomorrow (can't find a sitter) but would be interested if you have one again in the future. Thanks for all the great info on your blog!
