Helichrysum: This is an oil to have on hand if you have scorpions around. I don't have them but my friends who do swear by it to take the sting away. It is the most expensive oil on the list, unfortunately but it will last you forever. The bottle is $94 but if a few want it, the bottle can be split up into 4 smaller bottles. This oil is also great for liver issues, acne, boils, eczema, cuts and bites.
Oregano: This is natures antibiotic. It is a strong oil and needs to be taken in capsules if taken straight. It will burn the skin. If you by a cheaper brand, you can swallow it whole, that is an indicator that the quality is not so great. Great to have on hand to combat strep and other infections. This bottle is $28.

Is Helichrysum the only one good for Eczema?
Oh, and how would you use it? Topically? Orally?
If you are just concerned about eczema, I would recommend lavender or geranium, they are about 1/4 to 1/3 the cost and work great in some coconut oil applied right to the area. I bath my little guy in about 5 drops of lavender or geranium at night if he seems to be itchy or has some eczema spots.
I got a viral infection from my one and only pedicure last year. I went and saw the dr and he prescibed all kinds of stuff and nothing worked until I started using Helichysum. The itching stopped automatically and the redness and heat were gone within 3-4 weeks.

In the theatre/ singing world this oil (oregano) is great for a cold/sore throat, when a performance can't be missed!! As you said, it can't be taken straight, but we put a couple drops in a 8oz. glass of hot water with a little lemon.
Hey Shari, I have a friend who has very bad feet, cracking, itching, bleeding cycles. He has tried everything through a dermatologist etc... and can't seem to heal them. What do you have in the way of oils that would help with that, he had heard somewhere that there was an essential oil that could help? Thanks, Deena (dkimball311@msn.com)
Deena,
There are oils that can help with skin issues but if this is a persistent problem, there is much more to the issue than just dry skin. He may very well have issues with Candida (yeast problems) and liver detox issues. I would highly recommend doing the liver cleanse, a yeast treatment either with oils or otc products like Candex. He could also use with those treatments some coconut oil with Geranium or Lavender oil. Guardian oil is an oil for Yeast issues as well.
