New Beginnings Nutritionals

New Beginnings <span class= I get questions all the time about supplements. I wasn't able to do much about it because I only like the really good kind...the kind that you get from a good solid naturopath. However, many of you don't have the privilege of seeing a naturopath but still want the benefits of a top notch supplement. Well sisters...you are now in luck. I have been approved to sell supplements from one of the best nutritional supplement companies out there - New Beginnings Nutritionals. The other great thing is that they are not a multi line company. Hooray. I get to sell to you at the same cost or better than I get from my high paid naturopathic specialist. If you are already taking supplements and know what you want, click on their link to the right to check out their products and prices. If you don't know what you want, I will try my best to start educating you on some of my favorites. Yipee! Let's start today on two of the must haves for your cold and flu season.

Liquid Vitamin B-12 or Methylcobalamin. This is one of my very favorite supplements and if I had to pick one, this would be it. B12 is an absolutely essential vitamin in the body. We need it for digestion, absorption, protein synthesis, anemia prevention, fat and carbohydrate metabolization, promotion of healthy nerve tissue and red blood cell formation and assisting the body in detoxification; to name a few. If we don't have this vitamin, the body suffers in so many ways. It is a cycle, if you are not metabolizing properly or detoxifying; it is chaos. I know this because of what I learned with Tate. Once you get the body methylating which is the absorbing of B12, the body sort of reboots in a way. We get B12 from animal fat, cheese , eggs, and milk but even so it may not be digested correctly. Getting the correct kind of B12 is very important. Tate gets it in an injection which is the most effective. However, you need a prescription for that and it is costly. Next best form is as a nasal spray. New Beginnings has a liquid B12 which is in pure form with no other ingredients. Strictly Methylcobalamin - science name for B12. It helps with energy and diet as well. You may also take this as drops sublingually or put into a nasal applicator.

Cost is $35 per bottle plus shipping which will depend on how many people order at a time.

Vitamin D3: My friend , Terri, who taught me about these great supplements just did an article on Vitamin D3. Check her link to the right under Terri Hirning to get it all but I will paraphrase a bit for you:

If you are concerned about the swine flu or any other of the flu bugs and illnesses that fall can bring, Vitamin D3 is a super way to help you body boost its fighting power. I am so adamantly opposed to the flu shots , especially the new swine vaccine that I can't even go there. If you really want to know what is in those shots, do a quick google. Many of the scientists who developed the Swine Vaccine won't even try it. Check out some of these interviews with a couple of my favorite Dr.s here:

Vitamin D3 is now truly being understood and researched into. The connection between this vitamin and disease fighting for cancer, autism, auto immune diseases and other illnesses is being heavily compared. When dosages are low, the immune system is weak. We get vitamin D from the sun but now we insist on always using sun block ,which is a whole other story due to the chemicals we are subjecting our body to, that we are not allowing our body to absorb the vitamin D from the sun. Sunblock not only blocks the harmful rays, it blocks the good rays too. Today with kids especially who spend much time indoors on video games instead of outside playing, the level of vitamin D in the systems of kids are many times low.

There are so many studies into this and even though congress and FDA have information at their fingertips about the research into this amazing vitamin; they sit on it. It would negate so much of the drugs out there and that would hurt the drug industry. That is big money. Vitamin D when kept at a good level in the body would change the outcome of so many illnesses and diseases. It would help the body protect itself from the swine flu and other illnesses coming our way. It is so easy, a few drops a day which are tasteless even the kids wouldn't know. It is cheap - Just $19 per bottle. Dr.'s who prescribe this to their patients regularly find that their patients just don't get sick. You also want to get a good quality of Vitamin D. Dr. Blaylock and Mercola recommend adults stay between 5000 and 10000 IU's daily and children around 2000IU unless instructed by your Dr. otherwise, you can overdose. I stick around 5000 IU's for myself daily and would not recommend taking more than that unless instructed by your Dr.It helps to get a blood test to find your bodies levels if you are suffering from illnesses or diseases. They are finding that Mycelized Vitamin D3 is a highly concentrated form and much better absorbed in the body. I love that New Beginnings keeps things pure, no additives, no chemicals.

Check out the website, check out Terri's post; B12 and Vitamin D3 are my weapons of choice. I have never had a flu shot, My kids and I have not had the flu in at least 10 years, maybe more I just can't remember. I don't get sick. I swear by it. Take care of your body and your body will take care of you. The best part, it is cheap. You don't need an expensive medicine.

Shari, I have been reading your blog for a while now and I love it. I am pregnant with #3 and I am always tired. Do you know a good supplement that I can take that will help? And are these safe to take when you are pregnant? Thank you so much.

Trouble is Nasal B12 today is a prescription product, Nascobal. I make my own and it destroys the flu viruses www.popsci.com/node/22953

This nasal B12 is sold as a liquid and comes with a nasal pump so you don't need a prescription. The quality is pure, the same you would get with a prescription. Promise.

Shari - we take Super B's every day in tablet form. Would this nasal spray replace that daily vitamin? What about for my kiddos?

Hmmm, I need to look into this. Thanks for the great info.

I just wanted to thank you, also, for your message you left about preschool. I so appreciate you thinking of us. Lucy did get approved and I am SO thankful...but also sad. A little bitter-sweet. Anyway, glad to hear all is well in your neck of the woods!

Shari- How long would one of the Vit D last if there were 5-6 people taking it? I would really love to order one or more. And would you recommend the Vit B for the kids also?

Shari Goodman said...

There are 600 drops in the container. Each drop is 6oo IU. The recommendation is that adults get around 5000IU - 10000IU at least daily and kids between 2000 - 5000. So, it just depends how much you are taking. I take about 10 drops which is about 6ooo IU, my kids get about 7 . So, for 7 of us, we use about 2 1/2 bottles a month.

Shari Goodman said...

One more thing, except for Tate, you could lower this in the summer or take it less often since the flu bugs are not around so much and you get more sun. I would just amp it up in the winter months.

Hey Shari, I need to order some spice for life and oregano the next time you do an oils order. I would also like the B12 and D3 from New Beginnings Nutritionals if you are ordering from them. Thank you, Deena

Hi, I am here in Gilbert and would love to order this stuff through you, is that possible? i have a son with autism, and another son with severe allergys. Thanks, Carie Vercelli

Shari Goodman said...

Carie,

I would be happy to order for you. If he isn't already seeing a DAN Dr. or you don't know what supplements you want, let me know and I may be able to suggest a few things. goodman-7@cox.net

I have seen a few DAN doctors like schneider and bradstreet, but my son is so complicated they never knew what to do with him! It was always for frustrating! I have used B-12 injections a long time ago, and it was the only thing ever that made him instantly start talking, it was fabulous! He just was so out of control on them. I would like to try something again. Do you feel like since he has an immune deficiency (CVID) that this will effect him, I know your not a doctor, I'm just asking for your opinion. My son also has a metabolic disorder called SCAD, now you know why he is so complicated for doctors. thanks.

James,

The recommended dosage is 5 drops each but you can take more if needed. The amount of methylcobalamin is 1385mcg in 5 drops. It is ultra concentrated and contains no flavorings or artificial preservatives. If you need more info, let me know.

Shari
Basic B12 has 4.3% Cobalt. I just don't know how methylcobalamin would work on the Flu or Cold virus, if it would be strong enough, to kill the virus, as I have never used it, I do know that Cyanocobalamin, which is highly stable, destroys the viruses on Contact. High concentration Nasal B12, which I call Pneumocobal has 40mg of B12 of which 2mg is cobalt.www.popsci.com/node/22953

The Ladies of Page said...

james,

It is my understanding that cynocobalamin is converted to methylcobalamin to be useful by the tissues. The liver converts it to methyl but that process takes longer than starting off with Methyl in the first place. Also, I take a lower dose as a maintenance dose and would increase it if I was actually sick. Just never had too! I am sure such a high dose of methyl would work too.

I checked with my Vitamin supplier, Puritan's Pride, who I have been dealing with since 1975, and who developed Nasal B12, which was called Ener-B. They said they didn't carry it, because it wasn't stable. They just about carry everything else. They make a liquid B12, called B12 SHOT, you put a drop or 2 under your tongue, the trouble with that is they have citric Acid in it, Acids will destroy the cobalt that is in the B12. As far as getting a Flu shot and then another shot, is this Government Crazy? I am a retired Safety Director, and if they keep rolling the Dice like this, they are going to get Snake-Eyes.

It seems the people in America, are becoming more like the Farmer's chickens, the Farmer Being the Center for Disease Control. The farmer rings the bell, and the chickens come, and the Farmer feeds them. Then later the farmer rings the bell, and the farmer feeds them. Then later the farmer rings the bell, and the chickens comes, and the Farmer comes and CHOPS THEIR HEADS OFF!

In 1957 30,000 Americans died, from the Asian flu vaccine because of the Vaccine screw-ups! I was in the USAF, and anybody in the Military, are their first Ginny Pigs, They gave me the shot, and I got Pneumonia, which almost killed me. That was the only shot I ever had, or will have.

Medicine in America has become one big Racket, and a money pit for Congress and for all the stink-in politicians who fill there pockets from the Drug Lobbyists. This Flu scam of the WHO and the CDC will cost the Taxpayers over 1 trillion dollars, when they add everything up.

I realize that with any supplement, it is all in how it is processed, chelated and stabalized. The only reason I use this company and this company only is because of who is behind the products. This company, New Beginnings Nutritionals was founded under Dr. William Shaw, Ph.D who is the director of Great Plains Laboratory which specializes in Biochemical testing of metabolic disorders such as autism and other auto immune diseases which are rampant right now. This man has a phD in biochemistry and is a world renowned researcher and speaker in this field. His team also is composed of naturopathic physicians who deal with auto immune disorders as specialties. Not only do these products work, they are changing lives, especially the little people. I know because I have one and he gets blood tests regularly which prove these products are in his system. There are many tricks to how to take supplements so they work and in what forms. I can swear by the B12 and each of the products I recommend. I am not paid by the company to do so. I sought them to allow me to sell the products to my friends. No multi line, No commissions. I only blog about what I know works for me. I am glad you like your product but I know nothing about you or what your credentials are to make your product superior. I also am not a biochemist so I leave the research up to the masters that I trust. Thank goodness there are a few out there! I don't discount what you say and appreciate the information you have shared. There is not citric acid in this B12 and I assure you, it is stable.

Shari Goodman said...

James,

In reading your article you posted, I wonder do you use B12 other than to kill a virus once you have it? Do you have a product that you use for the other benefits of methylcobalamin which are proper digestion, absorption of foods, protein synthesis, anemia and many other things? I do understand that if you have an illness the more you can get the better but I use this product for so much more. Without it daily, my son is a different person and for myself I feel much more energy and overall health. I hope to never need it to kill a virus. My goal is to never get it in the first place. Do you take your product as prevention? Curious.

Because bodies all metabolize vitamin D differently, if you plan to take over 2000 IU a day of vitamin D you should get your blood tested periodically (every six months or so) to see if your levels are safe. Too little vitamin D can cause all kinds of problems, but too much vitamin D can cause bone loss, heart disease and kidney stones. http://drbenkim.com/articles-vitamind.html This website details the work of one of the top researchers in vitamin D including its benefits and a warning towards the bottom about potential toxicity risks and testing vitamin D levels. It is worth a read.

Shari Goodman said...

That is a good article and very similar to the articles by Dr. Blalock and Dr. Mercola. Both of those Dr.s suggest a safe limit of 5000IU's for adults and 2000IU's for kids. In this article you noted, Dr. Vieth talks about minimum levels as quoted below;

"Dr. Vieth suggests that critical toxicity may occur at doses of 20,000 IU daily and that the Upper Limit (UL) of safety be set at 10,000 IU, rather than the current 2,000 IU. While this may or may not be the definitive marker for safety in healthy persons with no active liver or kidney disease, there is no clinical evidence that long-term supplementation needs to be greater than 4,000 IU for optimal daily maintenance. This level would be somewhat lower when combined with exposure to UV-B.3;76"

I always recommend that if you are in the sun alot, you don't need to take the vitamin D as much or not at all. I only take it in the winter/fall months and only if I have not been in the sun for a significant time period. Taking 5000Iu's for adults and 2000IU's for children should be on the lower side of safe but it is always good to get blood tests done to check.
