Warts. The End.

Many of you may know this story. Kids with warts. Dermatologist. Warts keep getting bigger, you keep paying dermatologist. Visit dermatologist for years. Warts keep getting bigger, fingers scarred. Teenagers particularly unhappy about this. Still has warts.

If you happen to be on the same page as me, I need to let you in on a little secret that these high paid dermatologists aren't telling you. Maybe it is the fact that this little secret cost about $1.50 for a year's supply and they would be out of a job in the wart department. Whatever it is, I am going to let you in on it. Maybe I can save you from the years of wart treatment torture and needless bucks thrown down the drain. Here is the rest of the story.

I went through this with my daughter first. It took us two years of the dermatologist every two weeks. Seriously. She had over 50 injections of chemo medication in the warts. Some helped, overall, they kept popping up. Finally, I put her on L.Lysine which the Dr.'s never told me about and one day, they were all gone. Then, my son started to get them. He, being of teenage years and eager to impress the ladies, was none to happy about this situation. I started him on lysine. It didn't work for him. There are different types of warts. So, we went to the dermatologist. They froze some. He had a giant crater in his knuckle that scarred big time. He was very displeased about this. We kept coming back. They would just get bigger. So, I went to the oils. The lemongrass made them swell up. That is what is supposed to happen as it pulls the virus out of the wart. My son did not like this and was sure that I didn't know what I was doing. The big problem with this was that the lemongrass turned his skin in the area applied yellow. I didn't do this for my other kids but somehow reacted to his chemistry. He would not stick with it. He was miserable and was sure that he would forever be covered in warts. I went online. Surely there is an answer.

I read about the ever faithful APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. After all, there is a million uses for this stuff. It is the cure all. The many different websites say to put some of the Apple cider vinegar on a piece of a cotton ball the size of the wart. Saturated but not dripping. Put it on the wart and cover it with a band aide. Sleep with it. Remove it in the morning and do it over and over until it is gone. It made the wart swell up, turn crusty, red, black, etc. It didn't look great. But.... in a weeks time, the wart is dissolving. It is being eaten away. Dead. I couldn't believe it. It smells horribly but one wart at a time, we are killing them. The best part is that it kills it at the roots, not just the top so it won't keep growing back. Just some little apple cider vinegar. Shame on you dermatologist for letting us get sucked into your little game.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: $1.50

BAND AIDS and COTTON BALLS: $5.00

WARTS GONE AND TEENAGER HAPPY: PRICELESS!!!

I enjoy these tips so much! I have a toddler and am trying to avoid all the awful chemicals around us. Yuck. Thank for helping out with this! A few years ago I had a plantar wart on my foot that would not go away. During a massage, the therapist who loves oils put some tea tree oil on the wart. A few weeks later it was totally gone! She said the plantar wart is a fungus and tto is an antifungal Since I was pregnant at the time, there was no way I would use harsh chemicals on my body. I did reapply the oil a time or two after the massage. Also I applied regular lotion to my foot every evening; I read on many sites doing this keeps airflow from the wart and it will go away. Either this or the oil worked, but either way it's better than chemicals! Thank you again for your helpful blog posts!

Thanks for this info. Just found your blog and it is excellent. I think we may be kindred spirits. Is the lysine taken in capsule form orally or applied directly to infected area?

Lysine is taken orally. It comes in a capsule and can be opened to give children in smoothies if needed. I give my children one at night an in morning. Children under 5 maybe half capsule each morning and night.

p.s. apple cider vinegar mixed with vegetable oil will also get rid of pesty nats! When we first moved in I had bought tons of organic fruit. They obviously weren't covered in pesticide and I had a major outbreak of nats...seriously hundreds. I was going nuts-o. So I google searched and found that if you mix the two together in a big tin coffee can then hang a piece of fly strip paper from your ceiling so it hung in the center of the can, the flies would come to the "smell of garbage" in the can (apple cider vinegar + vegetable oil = rotten stench) and stick to the paper. It worked and I sang HALLELUJAH! Then I had to open my windows and air my house out. It smelled of strong vinegar. Haven't had the problem since but just know that if you need some for warts...it might come in handy for nats too! LOL!

It appears that a persons susceptibility to warts and the time it takes for them to go away is related to the individuals immune system. People who have immune-related diseases tend to have more warts that last longer.

Hello, I just recently went through a struggle of my own with warts...facial warts! Yes it was horrible/embarrassing. But I happy to say I Won! About 1 year ago I acquired a wart on the bottom of my chin. I really didn't know much about warts(I do now). I didn't know how they operated. I initially found the wart because I kept cutting it open while shaving. I then stupidly tried to cut it off myself(mistake). Anyway to make a long story short, due to shaving and trying to remove it myself I ended up with about 8+ warts all in the beard region. I tried freezing them, compound W, Dermatend, etc. Nothing worked, in fact it just pissed them off. Finally I applied for medical insurance to prepare for the never ending doctor visit journey. The same night I popped a 500 mg L-Lysine. I continued to do this for 3 days by no instruction from anyone. Sure enough I started to feel inching at the wart locations followed by scabbing and drying. 2 weeks later I have only one wart left which was the only one that wasn't on my chin but more down my neck. I am so very happy and I just want to spread the word....try L-Lysine! It saved me!
