30/6/30 challenge

I need a new challenge. The race is over, the sugar thing is over. My arms are flabby and somehow squeezing in workouts seem near impossible with my schedule lately. However, one thing I have learned is that when you make a commitment to something, somehow, someway you find time. You also know that I like company when I commit so here you are ladies....

The 30/6/30 challenge. Easy, peasy.

Thirty minutes of exercise (minimum), 6 days a week for 30 days. Many of you are already doing this but for me, this hasn't happened in months. Breaking a sweat a couple days a week just isn't getting me swim suit ready. More than that, I need energy. I need to move the muscles and feel life. I know that when I get in the routine, I get addicted to it again. 30 days will give me that routine. The hopes are that you don't quit after 30 days, but keep going at a good pace.

Are you ready? Start Monday. Take Sunday off only. Change it up daily so you are getting a good circuit train. Take prisoners; kids are great, friends/husbands are better. Shoot me a post so I know I am not alone.

Thanks for joining.

Have a super wonderful Mother's Day. May all your wildest dreams come true. Or, at least may you get a hot breakfast made by other hands. Sit back and watch this sweet , inspiring video by none other than the inspirational Miss Stephanie Nielson. Love this girl. May we all enjoy the simple things.

Watch "New Life" here.

Shari- I just pressure cooked some beets. Can I do anything with the beautiful pink liquid that is at the bottom of my pressure cooker? Smoothie? pink pancakes? Use the liquid to puree the beets for my 8 month old son? Please help! THANKS! :)

absolutely! Any and all of the things you mentioned. It should have a mild, pleasant taste so it can be used in any venue. It will also be good in a soup. You can freeze it if you can't use it now but using it as soon as possible will give you the most nutrients. Great job on making baby food! What a lucky baby.

I can't say I'm even close to 'clean' and your 12 steps but this challenge seems just what I need as a motivator to start living a better life. Count me in :)

I am SOOOOOO in, Shari. I've been getting four days of fitness in pretty regularly, but I'm stoked to make it six, starting today. It's the kick I need to get ready for summer.

I started this morning off with 4.25 miles. Chalk it up for day one!

I am IN! Althought I am most likely going to go for 5 days M-F. Now that my body is feeling better (8 weeks after baby), I am ready to shed those extra lbs.

Boy oh boy. On Monday my exercise was weed-pulling. I ran back and forth with buckets of water, and bent over the whole time pulling up my weedy yard. And I have been sore in my legs all week!!

And today I did my pregnancy pilates. I'm not pregnant. And it was still a workout! Phew. Guess I needed this challenge. =)
