What do you need?

I have been getting many emails about the difference in the kits and what kids should take, etc. and I have even neglected to give out some info so here is the down low:

Adults and teens are recommended to do the full cleanse for maximum benefits. It is a 14 day treatment with extra pills for maintenance. You can use the pills as long as you need, just taking a break every 3 weeks for a week to allow a rest.

Kids can just do the drops or the pills but if they have abdominal complaints, the cleanse is advocated. If you just want the drops or pills, taking glutamine can help with healing the lining of the stomach and for getting quicker results. I have neglected to tell many of you that bit of info. If you are buying a kit, you will have glutamine with that and could share with the kids. Glutamine may pose a problem for some and if so, using something like slippery elm or Aloe Vera juice may be a good option. In any case, it is advised to do the glutamine for the 2 week cleanse only, not beyond.

Although it is advisable to eat a diet that will promote a die off, ie no sugars, simple carbs, moldy cheeses, etc, the yeast cleanse will still be effective without doing so. Just a longer process. We know teens aren't going to eliminate much so the fiber part of the cleanse will help with absorbing the junk and getting it out.

Babies can take the drops, even as little as a few weeks. You can put some on their tongue then latch them on to wash it down. Very effective for thrush. Moms can also take this while nursing and it will help the baby.

As far as how far the liquid drops will go? Well, each bottle contains about enough for a 14 day treatment. It is advisable to finish the 14 days and longer if needed. Usually a difficult case of eczema will need the full treatment. So, one bottle per child is recommended.

The capsules are vegetarian for those who asked.

Hope that answers some questions.

I am eating way to much sugar. If I don't have it I feel dizzy, light headed and just crappy... like a bad case of the flu, my vision gets more blurry etc. I was trying to read online about getting off sugar. I am afraid if I go cold turkey I will be really sick in the ER because of my symptoms. Does the yeast cleanse you are referring to help with the side effect withdrawals?? I am just scared to do it since I can't go more than half the day without some sort of sugar. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

sugar is a drug. When you detox, you will feel sick, just like going off drugs. yeast will also make you crave sugar. The yeast cleanse may make you feel pretty crappy for a few days if you have lots of yeast but then you will feel better and will loose the sugar craving. You just have to weather the storm. You can take it a little slower if you need to but I would go full force and expect headaches and flu like symptoms. Sounds like you need this big time! But,..... so not alone.

Hi Shari-- I enjoyed reading your posts about this yeast stuff! Question... would you recommend doing this cleanse or the liver cleanse first? I haven't ever done a cleanse, and I know I need one badly!!! I have been eating horrible the past year... thanks!!

I would do the yeast cleanse first , then a liver cleanse. The yeast cleanse will produce a die off so it would be beneficial to cleanse the liver after this process.

A question: Do children usually have a negative reaction to the drops and glutamine, or is that only if they are doing the full cleanse program?

Thanks!

If kids have a problem with yeast, you will experience some yeast die off that could last a couple days. If they don't have a big yeast problem, they shouldn't have any issues. If they are having die off reactions, you are doing the right thing by doing the cleanse. It is far worse to have yeast than a few days of mild complaints.

Anonymous,

After reading more about glutamine, it can have a similar effect as msg in some although a totally different thing. I would not do the glutamine for your daughter just in case.

Thanks Shari! I have one more question. The bottle says to give children "3 squirts". How much is 3 squirts? Is there a better way to measure, such as in ml?
