Safe Food Friday

I found a few products in my travels this past week to pass on. There are foods out there that you can buy. Yea!

Nature's Path Crispy Wheats (Just like wheat thins)
Nature's Path chocolate chip cookies
Nature's Path Oatmeal Cookies
Spectrum Mayonnaise
Annie's Cowboy ranch (Not hidden valley taste but try it out on the kids)
Annie's arthur macaroni and cheese
Juicy Juice Apple juice boxes
Gorilla Munch cereal (great for little fingers)

I tried the Herdez salsa and for a salsa not freshly made, it is pretty good. It Would make a great salsa to put in taco meat.

I will keep my eye out for more products, they are hard to come by but I am sure they are there. I searched for a buttermilk but could only find organic buttermilk and organic cream that is free from the ugly stuff.

FYI I talked to a friend today who has done the Bountiful Baskets for a couple years, she loves it. She says it is run really well and usually gets really good produce. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the info!

Have a great weekend, go make your freezer jam and enjoy the beautiful weather you AZ gals!

Hey Shari, I came across a great cereal today at Costco. It is called: Flax Plus. Pumpkin, raisin crunch. Made by Natures Path. I tasted it and it was FABULOUS!! It's exciting to actually have something to contribute! Ha Ha

I found your blog through a friend's and I wanted to just let you know that I think you are doing a great job keeping those that want to be informed about nutrition and other things very well informed. I love the information that you put into your blogs because it helps me look at what I am eating and what I am giving my kids in a whole different way. I have tried to become nutrition savvy as I am majoring in nutrition communications to also help those who are clueless about nutrition and hopefully someday be able to fix what is wrong with the food we are eating on a daily basis. Thanks for your blog.

Thank you for all your great tips! I love your blog and check it often. I tried out the Gorilla Munch cereal and we love it! Since it's also gluten free my son can have it too! He can't tolerate gluten. Also a mayonnaise that I use that is really good is called Vegannaise
